Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved one, Jeff Feldick who was born in Iowa on January 6, 1960 and passed away unexpectedly on September 1, 2006 at the age of 46. We will remember him forever.

Jeff began his career in Public Safety in 1980 as a dispatcher for the Buena Vista County Communications Center in Storm Lake, Iowa.  In August of 1991 he accepted a position with the Woodbury County Communications Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Jeff became a full time Communications Operator with Woodbury County on September 4, 1991. On January 1, 1998 he was promoted to Lead Communications Operator and was currently working as the Supervisor on the afternoon shift. He was routinely commended for his outstanding attendance and work record and his teamwork on the job. He did not believe in individual awards but felt that the whole shift that worked as a team was what made the Communications Center successful. He always made sure that his shift was recognized for the outstanding work they did. Jeff was commended for his excellence on numerous events including an officer involved shooting, severe weather causing major storm damage, a multiple homicide, fatality accident and a fuel tanker rollover, to name a few.

Jeff has been a loyal supporter of APCO and a fixture at the conferences for many years. He has many friends in communications across Iowa and across the nation.

Everyone involved in the call knew Jeff, from the officers that arrived first on scene to the fireman and paramedics.
